NEVER TRAINS AI MODELS ON YOUR CONVERSATIONS
Your messages are used to answer your messages. Period. They are not fed into model training pipelines, fine-tuning datasets, or analytics that improve someone else's product.
NEVER STORES YOUR SECRETS ON OUR SERVERS
API keys, OAuth tokens you authorize, and personal credentials are stored in Apple Keychain on your device. They never sit in a cloud database we can read, leak, or be subpoenaed for.
NEVER READS YOUR HEALTHKIT, PHOTOS, OR DEVICE CONTENTS
Health data, photo libraries, and on-device files stay on your device. CORTEX reads them only when you explicitly invoke a feature that needs them, and the data does not leave your device unless you authorize a specific action.
NEVER LOCKS YOU IN
Cancel through the provider used at purchase. Export supported memory data where available. Request deletion through the app, account deletion page, or privacy contact without dark patterns.
NEVER HIDES WHAT IS HAPPENING
Every governed action CORTEX takes is logged in a transparent audit trail you can view. If CORTEX called an API on your behalf, you see the call, the time, and the outcome.
WHAT CORTEX ALWAYS DOES

OAuth tokens you connect (Gmail, Calendar, Spotify, X, etc.) are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, keyed to your account, and used only to proxy calls you initiate from the app.
ALWAYS ASKS BEFORE DESTRUCTIVE ACTIONS
Sending a message, paying a bill, calling someone, deleting a file. The system observes and understands freely, but the human stays in the loop on anything that cannot be reversed.
